Simple Tank Barriers - Daffrid

Wargaming has been around for years, the Victorians pushed little lead models around sandpits, so it's only natural that other (non GW) companies produce wargaming terrain and figures. One such company is Italeri (guess where they're based), and they produce a kit 'Barricades' [No 401] for about £3. But what do you get for this huge cash sum I hear you cry, 'I could get two models for that!'. Well, you get 5 tank barriers (the subject of this article), and various barbed wire structures (appearing in a different article).

These tank barriers fit in the 40k scale and are easy to assemble/paint.

After clipping and shaving the sprue, it's stuck together and undercoated and then painted.

Stage 1 Stage 2 Stage 3

To paint them I covered the whole thing in 'Boltgun Metal' and then washed it over with 'Boltgun Metal and Chaos Black' and then washing again with 'Boltgun Metal and Bestial Brown'.

To make five takes less and an hour (if you don't count waiting for the undercoat/paint to dry)
