Converting: Terminator Assault Cannon - Zgar | |
| So, after the Assault Cannon for my Land Speeders I wanted to change the never used Heavy Flamers on my termies (got two HF in the box...). So here it how it went...
Bitz used - HF termie arm, metal tubes (finaly did not use the small top one)  Cutting - cut the HF as shown and carefuly clip the plug tubes so the wide parts fall off (you have to turn the tube around while cliping so it won't be flat)  Digging the HF - this was quite a hard job - I had to dig the plastic from the HF, to do this I drilled as much as possible (up to 4mm diameter) and finished with modeling knive. Wondering I did not hurt my self here...  Cannon contruction 1 - line tubes on tape, put a blob of GS in the middle 2 - shape the cannon, use tape to hold it together 3 - place a temp helping tube to create centered round - do not stick it too deep, you will have to remove it once GS hardens 4 - wait a few hours till it get hard  Put it together - place some GS into the plastic part and press cannpn barrels in  To make it more bulky I added a round of GS on the rear of barrels -it was later shaped into a 6 sided form - see finished pics below  WIP done - I plan to repaint the termies as I did the speeder later...   | |
