| Hey there! Sorry about the delay to this months instalment but I have been trying to juggle full time employment and University. Well enough with the excuses and onto the article... This months purchases saw me finish off my 1000 points list and get an extra box of Saurus (these are in my opinion, possibly the best core choice points wise in the entire system - what do you think). So this is what I bought...
Paint SchemeHaving got down and dirty with strange and interesting colours like Hawk Turquoise and Ice Blue I have finally decided on the following scheme: -1. Undercoat Black 2. Spray Ogre Flesh 3. Paint metallics Dwarf Bronze 4. Ink with watered down Brown Ink 5. Dry brush desert yellow on the scales 6. Pick out teeth and claws with rotting flesh 7. Paint eyes with Enchanted blue 8. Ink eyes with Blue Ink I decided on this for 2 reasons:- 1. It looks neat 2. It is really quick (and looking at 32 Saurus it dawned on me I had to find a quick(ish) paint scheme to get this army done). Pictures at some point soon. My experiances of "the square based game" so far have been pretty cool, Although getting into the habit of making sure all your models rank up as you build them is one thing I need remember! I played my first game at 2000pts last week (having borrowed a couple of items from a fellow Lizardmen player) and managed to pull off a Massacre against a Vampire Counts Blood Dragon Army - Pleasing for me, but not so much for my opponent.
